Creating a new colony. Continued 2013-12-20
Disdoo, Nina, colleagues and the colonists,
I continue.
I imagine myself creating a colony and some rather obvious ideas pop up. Obviously, at the beginning I wish to get best comrades, most compatible with my ideal of the colony, most successful, friendly and devoted. Later, I see that there is a need to make colonies replicable and suitable for average humans, so my personality and my ideas wouldn’t matter anymore. We need to develop a replicable structure, replicable ideas, the way to re-educate and train the new colonists. Obviously, we wish the colonies to be benevolent, peaceful and avoid the troubles we have on earth: power hijacking and competition for control and resources.
Moreover, as the humanity evolves and ascends, the colonies not only are to follow it, they are to lead the way. Say, the ascension takes 200 years. The colonies are in a great position to develop the new culture, new science, new skills like telepathy, customize the technologies for the use by humans, new social structure, and even new genetics – the colonies can lead in voluntary hybridization – merging with existing hybrids – by voluntary marriages and creating children in love.
As I said in my books and letters, I we will look at the ideas of replicable communes: franchise (very replicable), Montessori school, Jewish kibbutzes, Christian and non-Christian monasteries, churches etc. We will also seek for examples outside of Earth, but obviously, Earth experiences will be more relevant.
To build an initial team, I will first visit existing colonies and learn from their experiences. Obviously, I will not be able to transfer the knowledge, so I would see how their experiences could be formalized into a transferrable knowledge – maybe video interviews and classes might allow to transfer and replicate some of the structures and routines, but possibly live transfer would work best.
In the past, it was often a case that one monk could travel to a new place and create a whole monastery there. It was so with Russian monks and European Christian missionaries. So we would invite members from other colonies to teach my team what they know and set up routines.
To build an initial team, I would screen available candidates on Earth. I would go via the list of applicants on the web site and beyond the list. I would focus on long-term volunteers. I believe long-term is way more suitable for building a community. Humans who go back and forth are disturbed, have trouble concentrating and devoting themselves to one thing or another. It is very difficult for humans to live double life. Devotion to the colony long-term would be way better. Consignment to live on the colony forever is also a bit too much. I experienced emigration and observed the live of many emigrants – there is always a tragedy in inability to return. This tragedy could be easily avoided by making the return optional. When an emigrant or a colonist has an option to return, the pain of leaving the home planet is much weaker.
I just realized that could preselect candidates without interviews. Your ability to sneak on people, to spy on them would be perfect for checking on the candidates. Experienced humans can easily tell much about the person just by observing them. So we, the colony founders, would sneak on candidates (remotely, technologically) , see them communicating with other humans and decide if they are good for interviews. This would greatly reduce the number of interviews.
For interviews we, human colony founders could possibly beam down and interview the candidates on the ground.
I wrote before and will remind you here, that our history shows that the power in human communes is very often hijacked by negative humans. So I would invite the aliens to watch over the colony leadership and prevent this hijacking. We will designate different teams of humans to work with different types of aliens on the idea of creating hybrid (human-alien) teams where aliens help the leadership. We will see which of the human-alien combinations are most successful. Obviously, there is a problem that humans and aliens are from different dimensions. So maybe we need to design even more sophisticated structures including hybrids and technological interface. The goal would be to design a replicable colony unit which would be self-sustainable, benevolent, useful to others and excellent in many ways. It would include many components of a commune including education, nursery, school, research labs, production labs, movie creation team, broadcasting station, hotel and training school for visitors and other things I described before. Obviously, these colonies will diverge and we need to make sure they replicate and share their success.
I don’t think children can stay in space for years. They would need planetary energies to remain healthy and develop. So they could be sent to other planets for getting exposed to healthy energies or to Earth temporarily.
To be continued.
