How we can find out what our mission actually is?
@Intrepidstar asks: how we (I can only speak for myself) can find out what our mission actually is? I know that I’ve dealt with a lot of karmic stuff, but I find myself wandering around through life not entirely clear on what I should be focused on doing with myself as a mission at all. Do they have any advice for humans who are a little unclear on that subject?
My teacher on this and many other subjects is Bashar. He is simply best.
I will give a short answer of his:
1. individual life has no purpose, no meaning, no sense by design. It is up to us to pick and choose the meaning. It is designed to be filled with meaning but we are forced to exercise our free will to pick this meaning.
2. Karma is very vague. We always had and these days have even bigger opportunity to change our karma. The soul comes to this life with a predetermined set of themes. But it is up to your physical mind to make choices and exercise free will to play these themes the way you wish. If you want you can trade these themes for others. Your higher self wouldn’t mind if you become passionate about something which wasn’t in your plan.
3. How do you choose the path? Bashar teaches to follow your highest excitement. This is the main way you can sense guidance from your higher self. Play and be passionate and don’t be surprised that your passion turns quickly. It is your higher self driving you as if you were a character in a computer game and needed to go via a complicated maze. That is essentially what happens in our lives. We are being driven by our higher selves who collect jewels on the way and these jewels are our experiences. As soon as we collect enough jewels of a certain theme of experiences, our higher self drives us to another theme and collects jewels for another theme. People with one major theme have simple karma: they have had very distorted past lives and the major theme for this life is to balance the strong distortion of the past. People with great variety of themes (like you and I) have lived many lives on Earth and experienced it all. Now we are here to (1) serve, (2) teach, and (3) to balance few minor imbalances which we haven’t have a chance to balance in our past lives.
For example in our past lives we hadn’t have a chance to experience so much of modern life. Our life was way less technological and we had way less time pressure. Guess what – this is first time in Earth history when there is so much of technological craziness. We got to experience all facets of it. I was told (a big secret) that in a future life (one of future lives) I will take part in designing a new civilization as an architect. It explains a lot. To be designing something one has to experience it all here and see what works and how. See how it changes the prospective on current sufferings? I still complain that I don’t need to experience that much of poverty. I already had plenty of it in Russia, why again?

Coincidentally, received a quote in daily quote mailings:

“Play and be passionate”. That’s wonderful advice! Especially since, from what I’ve gathered, the biggest hindrance to growth is fear. Not only can our own lives improve and be more enjoyable, we can provide an example to others. Thank you for the message. I’m glad to hear that free will truly matters in the determination of our lives and choices.
