Being taken

Once my friend was notified that he will be taken at 11pm. He was waiting and since they didn’t show up, he started drinking and became very drunk by the time they picked him up. So his memories were very vague. But his other friend was also taken and saw him on the ship. This was in the past before the colonies were started.
